The Spa

The full service spa is inside the Huntington hotel open to both hotel guests and non-residents. The spa has ten individually appointed treatment rooms and an indoor infinity pool, with spectacular views of downtown through 18 foot high windows. An outdoor deck in the summer and wood burning fire place in the winter provide gorgeous relaxation areas where guests are waited on by attentive white jacketed staff. Guests of the spa have access to the Wellness Program which includes a range of fitness classes; yoga, tai chi and Pilates along with a weight training room, Jacuzzi and saunas.

Signature Treatments

Signature treatments based on ancient healing techniques include:
Scen Tao a calming therapy using Asian plant extracts from Ginkgo, green tea and bamboo using aromatherapy exfoliation and heated stones. 100 minutes.
Bindi Herbal body treatment, adapted from the 5000 year old Ayurvedic Pancha Karma rejuvenation therapies, the treatment involves a botanical body mask, exfoliation, aromatherapy oil application, herbal wrap and Marma face points. This wonderful deep cleansing treatment softens and nourishes the skin and helps eliminate the feelings of stress and anxiety. 80 minutes.
Shirodhara, using a gentle stream of herbal oil to the “third eye” the oil and herbs are gently massaged into the scalp, Marma face points, hands and feet. 50 minutes.
Nirvana is a combination of these three treatments lasting for 110 unforgettable minutes.

About The Huntington Hotel and Nob Hill Spa

The Huntington Hotel perches impressively on the top of Nob Hill, one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in San Francisco. DW the doorman, almost an institution in his own right, has been at the hotel for 36 years and knows the numerous regular guests by name. The Huntington houses the Nob Hill Spa, use of the pool and health club is free to residents, and appointments for spa treatments may be booked in advance through the hotel. A complementary limousine service is offered to the financial district. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby, guest and meeting rooms. An excellent concierge service offers helpful advice and personal itineraries including theatre tickets, restaurant reservations and general tourist information. Room service is available from 6.00am to 11.30pm daily. Other facilities include same-day laundry/dry cleaning service, baby sitting, complimentary daily newspaper, tea and coffee are served on arrival.

Room Options

There are 135 guest rooms and suites at the Huntington individually decorated with custom made furnishings and interesting antiques. All the rooms are equipped with wireless Internet access, dual line telephones, large writing desks, fax machines and luxurious toiletries. The rooms offer views over Huntington Park, Grace Cathedral or the city and bay area. Some of the rooms have retained small kitchen facilities from the Huntington’s days as an apartment block, some have hot tubs.

Dining at The Huntington Hotel and Nob Hill Spa

The Big 4 at the Huntington is a uniquely historic San Francisco restaurant named after the America’s four most famous railroad tycoons of the nineteenth century. The lead glass mirrors, sumptuous forest green banquettes and impressive collection of original artefacts and photographs make this an institution in San Francisco for locals and guests alike. The menus are contemporary American in style created by the award winning chef Gloria Ciccarone-Nehls. In the evening the restaurant is softly lit to create a romantic atmosphere where guests may relax by the cosy fireplace with a pre dinner drink while enjoying the live piano music. The Nob Hill spa also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with a range of healthy meals which may also be ordered in the Big 4 restaurant. The bar offers a comprehensive menu from snacks to full meals between the hours of 11.00am and 11.30 pm. Room service is offered from 6.00am to 11.30 pm.
