About the Hotel
Located in the heart of Tuscany’s Mugello district, home of the Medici family and famous Italian artists, Monsignor Della Casa Country Resort is situated on the heavenly 16th Century estate where author of the good manners book Il Galateo, Giovanni della Casa was born in 1503.
Extending over 200 hectares, the resort is surrounded by the picturesque Tuscan countryside, ideal for alfresco living.
In this peaceful atmosphere, guests can be accommodated in split-level suites and villas, furnished in the most authentic Tuscan style, with beamed ceilings, romantic fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens and jacuzzi tubs. Each luxurious villa benefits from its own entrance and private garden. A slow rhythm dominates here, with the focus on relaxation. Couples can spend the day walking among the sunflower fields, cycling in the sun, swimming in one of the pools or exploring the region on horseback. Complete the day with a delicious meal alfresco, as the sun sets over the countryside.

Considered to be the cradle of the Renaissance, Florence is a magical city offering spectacular churches, art museums and historical palaces. Try the tasty Florentine cuisine during a candlelit dinner or enjoy an aperitif at sunset in the Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can take in breathtaking city views. Florence is just 35 minutes from the hotel while other romantic Tuscan cities, such as Siena, Pisa and Lucca, can be reached within an hour and 15 minutes by car. Guests can take a cultural journey around the magnificent castles of the Medici family, including the Castle of Cafaggiolo, monastery of Bosco ai Frati and Palazzo dei Vicari in Scarperia. Guided wine tastings and white truffle hunting are also available in the surrounding area.
