THINGS TO DO

There are endless activities available for visitors to enjoy. The golf is extensive, with ten championship golf courses in and around the town including the hotel’s championship Duke’s Course. Try a day’s salmon fishing followed by a salmon dish of your choice for dinner – or sample off-road driving, hot-air ballooning, or kite surfing along the spectacular West Sands.
The hotel can arrange an extensive variety of activities for business groups, including themed galas featuring a traditional Scottish piper, or a magnificent banquet at one of the historic houses nearby such as Glamis Castle.
Other local attractions include St Andrews Museum, The British Golf Museum, and Glenturret Whisky Distillery. St Andrews is very close by, and visitors can browse the intriguing array of shops and dramatic cathedral ruins.
Guided tours of the area are very popular: to East Neuk, with its quaint fishing villages and charming harbours, while further afield are the wonders of Falkland Palace and Blair Castle.
